The Bangla Tigers are preparing to compete in the Abu Dhabi T10 League after winning the JIM Afro T10 League. Owned by businessman Yasin Chowdhury from Chittagong, the franchise has already brought Shakib Al Hasan on board for this season. To further strengthen the team, Afghan spinner Rashid Khan will also join Shakib.
The Bangla Tigers have been participating in the Abu Dhabi T10 League since its third season. They have signed Rashid Khan as a platinum signing. Although he was contracted with the champion team New York Strikers last season, the Afghan leg-spinner did not play.
In addition to Shakib and Rashid, the team will also feature Sri Lanka's Dasun Shanaka and Ireland's Josh Little. Other players include Iftikhar Ahmed, Hazratullah Zazai, and Liam Livingstone, along with Indian batter Dinesh Karthik.
The player auction will take place on October 16, where the Bangla Tigers will acquire more essential players. The eighth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League will commence on November 21 and run until December 2.
