BCB Expresses Condolences on the Passing of Khaled Ahmed's Mother
Bangladesh pacer Syed Khaled Ahmed's mother passed away on Thursday. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. The pacer is currently playing for Chittagong Kings in this season's Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Following their victory against Khulna Tigers on Thursday, Chittagong Kings confirmed the news of Khaled's mother's passing.
On Friday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) issued a press release expressing their condolences for the demise of Khaled's mother. The statement read:
"The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is deeply saddened by the passing of Syed Khaled Ahmed's mother, Raima Begum. She breathed her last on Thursday evening in Sylhet. She was 62 years old."
The statement further added, "The BCB extends its heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to Syed Khaled Ahmed and his family."
It is worth mentioning that Khaled Ahmed has been performing exceptionally well for Chittagong Kings in this year's BPL. In five matches, he has taken eight wickets at an economy rate of 7.63. In the last match against Khulna Tigers, he also claimed two wickets.
