Habibul Bashar in BCB with new role
One of the most successful captains of the Bangladesh national cricket team, Habibul Bashar Sumon, has been appointed as the chief selector under the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) after representing the team for an extended period at the highest level.
In the latest board meeting of the BCB, decisions were made to bring changes to the selection panel. According to the decision taken, Habibul Bashar Sumon lost the position of chairman. Instead, Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu and Hannan Sarkar now occupy the two chairs. Abdur Razzak remains as another member of the panel. However, BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon informed the media that Nannu and Bashar would be retained in some capacity.
Habibul Bashar has now taken on a new responsibility. He has been appointed as the head of the Women's Wing of the BCB.
BCB Director and Chairman of the Women's Wing, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel MP, and Bangladesh women's team captain Nigar Sultana Joti congratulated him on his new role today.
