Delhi is Gautam Gambhir's home, where everything, from cricket to politics, is on the rise. However, under the influence of the IPL (Indian Premier League), Kolkata has also become the home of this former Indian opener. Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory in the IPL championship twice (2012 and 2014).
Now, Gautam Gambhir serves as an advisor to the Kolkata franchise. He has become familiar with Kolkata's culture and tradition, firmly integrating with the team.
On April 13th (Pohela Boishakh) at Eden Gardens, ahead of the match against Lucknow Super Giants, Gautam Gambhir greeted journalists with sweets at the press conference.
At the end of the press conference, Gambhir showed journalists two sweet boxes, saying, "I have brought sweets for you for the New Year. Eat sweets, put on some calories (smiles)."
