For the first time in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Sports Institute will be established under the slogan "Center of Excellence," as confirmed by Youth and Sports Ministry Adviser Asif Mahmud Sojib Bhuiyan at a press conference today.
The Bangladesh Sports Institute aims to achieve national pride through high performance of athletes, overall success in sports, enhancement of athletes' physical and mental capabilities, improvement in sports strategies and leadership skills, and overall development. This initiative is being undertaken by the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Adviser Asif Mahmud stated at the press conference, “The Bangladesh Sports Institute will provide specialized sports services and infrastructure through effective collaboration with renowned national and international sports organizations, with the goal of developing internationally competent athletes and achieving high results at international levels. Many developed countries, including the UK, USA, China, and France, have achieved remarkable success in sports by integrating sports and science. Bangladesh aims to reach this goal through the Bangladesh Sports Institute.”
“To achieve this goal, ensure the quality of services, and obtain desired results, experts from within the country and abroad will be involved in the Bangladesh Sports Institute. The Youth and Sports Ministry is committed to implementing this project as quickly as possible. The Bangladesh Sports Institute will become a blessing as a Center of Excellence for the country’s sports sector,” he added.
