In a dominating display at BKSP, opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim smashed a blistering century to lead Legends of Rupganj to a crushing 10-wicket win over Partex Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier League.
Chasing a modest target of 130, Rupganj reached the finish line in just 18.3 overs without losing a wicket. Tanzid remained unbeaten on 103 off just 59 balls, a knock studded with 7 sixes and 10 fours. His opening partner Saif Hassan provided solid support with an unbeaten 26.
Tamim timed his century to perfection—when he was on 99 and the team was two runs away from victory, he sealed both milestones with a single boundary.
Earlier, Partex struggled from the start after opting to bat first, getting bowled out for just 129 in 34.4 overs. Sheikh Mehedi Hasan led the bowling attack with a brilliant 4-wicket haul, conceding just 34 runs in his 10 overs. Fast bowlers Shoriful Islam and Rejaur Rahman Raja also picked up two wickets apiece.
Among Partex’s batters, only Rubel Mia showed resistance, scoring 41 off 48 balls after coming in at number three. U19 World Cup player Ahrar Amin Piyan chipped in with 24, while captain Alauddin Babu (14) and Shahidul Islam (19) added some late runs to help the team cross the 100-run mark.
The emphatic victory, with 31.3 overs to spare, strengthens Legends of Rupganj's position in the ongoing league, with Tanzid Tamim’s explosive innings standing out as one of the tournament's highlights.
