Today, Bangladesh faced the United States in the first match of a three-match T20 series at Prairie View Cricket Complex. Despite their strong batting lineup, the Tigers could only manage a total of 153 against the relatively weaker United States team.
The United States won the toss and decided to bowl first. For Bangladesh, Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar opened the innings. Despite being given a life, Litton couldn't make his innings count and was dismissed after scoring 14 runs off 15 balls, hitting one four and one six.
The other opener, Soumya Sarkar, scored 20 runs off 13 balls with three boundaries. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, coming in at number three, could only score 3 runs off 11 balls. Shakib Al Hasan was run out after scoring 6 runs off 12 balls.
