After losing the ODI series, the T20I series will begin from tomorrow. Bangladesh's women couldn't manage to excel on the field against Australia in any way. However, Bangladesh has progressed in terms of relationships. Especially, the captain of the welcoming country, Nigar Sultana Joti, has taken a step forward. From a friendly gesture, Joti has presented an indigenous Jamdani saree to Australia's captain Ellyse Perry.
Before the start of the T20I series, Joti expressed that the team's confidence has been restored. They will strive to accomplish that task through the T20I series. Meanwhile, Joti has already presented a gift to the Australian captain Perry.
Today (Saturday), both teams held a press conference and a photo session the day before the series began. Both captains were present at the time. At one point, Joti presented a gift to Perry in the form of a Jamdani saree, representing Bangladesh's traditional attire.
The birthplace of Jamdani sarees is said to be the capital city, Dhaka. A particular type of yarn is used for weaving Jamdani sarees. It is recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. There are discussions worldwide about Bangladesh's Jamdani sarees. The Jamdani saree is intricately woven into the traditions of this country.
