Andrew McDonald dismissed concerns over Mitch Marsh
Australia's T20 World Cup squad is led by Mitchell Marsh. However, there have been concerns surrounding his injury, raising doubts about his availability.
However, Australia's head coach, Andrew McDonald, has assured that there are currently no concerns regarding this. Despite lagging behind in the rehabilitation process, Marsh is set to be fit before Australia's match against Oman on June 5th in the World Cup.
During his representation for Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Mitchell Marsh sustained a hamstring injury. Australia had to withdraw him from the tournament, initiating the rehabilitation process.
Among the cricketers in the World Cup squad who aren't participating in the IPL, they've commenced training at the National Cricket Centre. Marsh has been seen batting in the nets there.
Regarding Marsh's condition, McDonald informed the media, "He's progressing well. Perhaps a bit slower than we had hoped, but since he's not involved in the IPL, we have plenty of time on our hands."
"We have less than a month to prepare for our first game on the field. So, there's ample time for him to get ready."
