BCB opens gates for fans to support Shohan, Bijoy and team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium
The second unofficial Test between Bangladesh ‘A’ and New Zealand ‘A’ is set to begin tomorrow, May 21, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced free entry for fans to witness the four-day fixture and support the home team.
The second four-day match of the series will be held from May 21 to May 24. Fans will be allowed to enter the Shaheed Abu Sayeed Stand for free through Gate No. 5 of the stadium.
In the first four-day match held in Sylhet, New Zealand ‘A’ secured a 70-run victory, taking a 1–0 lead in the two-match unofficial Test series.
To ensure a safe and respectful match experience, the BCB has issued the following stadium entry guidelines and regulations for all spectators:
Entry Conditions:
Spectators must comply with BCB rules and its commercial obligations to sponsors.
The following items are strictly prohibited inside the stadium:
Firearms, laser pointers, flares, explosives, fireworks, matches/lighters, cigarettes
Video cameras, professional still cameras
Flags with sticks, vuvuzelas, mirrors, knives, cans, bottled drinks (with cap or cork), glass bottles, whistles, and any item deemed dangerous to players or attendees.
BCB is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage within the stadium premises.
BCB reserves the right to deny entry or evict any individual posing a threat to safety or causing disruption.
Outside food and beverages may be brought in, subject to security checks and approval.
Unauthorized branding or commercial activities inside or outside the venue are banned.
BCB is committed to preventing and prosecuting corrupt activities, including betting and match-fixing.
Use of fireworks or explosives is a punishable offense under law.
Involvement in betting or corrupt practices will be dealt with by anti-corruption officers and law enforcement.
All stands are strictly non-smoking zones.
Spectators must adhere to the ICC anti-discrimination policy. Violations will lead to eviction and legal action.
Any behavior—verbal, physical, or otherwise—that offends or intimidates based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, or sexual orientation will be considered a criminal offense and may result in expulsion from the venue.
Fans are encouraged to show up in numbers and support Bangladesh ‘A’ in this crucial match as they look to bounce back and level the series.
