50 Years of Rotary Club of Dhaka North West Celebrated

The Rotary Club of Dhaka North West celebrated its glorious 50-year journey with a colorful, highlighting its five decades of contributions to humanitarian service and community development. As part of the celebration, the club also presented the Vocational Excellence Award 2026.

In recognition of outstanding contributions in various sectors of society, five individuals and one organization were honored this year. The was graced by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Transparency International Bangladesh, Monsur Ahmed Chowdhury, as the chief guest. He jointly handed over the awards along with the club’s president and secretary.

In the peacebuilding category, Junaid Paikar, founding president of BCSA, received the award. In the education and literature category, Masrur Hanan, founder of Jadupisi, was honored. Ahsan Rony, Executive Director of Mission Green Bangladesh, was recognized for his contribution to environmental conservation. In the sanitation and hygiene category, Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, founder of IPSA, received the award.

Additionally, NUSDF Bangladesh was honored in the Community Economic Development (Institution Category). The award was received on behalf of the organization by its founder and president, Riaz Khan, along with his team.

Speakers at the event noted that the awards reflect Rotary’s principle of “Service Above Self” and aim to recognize individuals and organizations contributing to positive change in society.

The অনুষ্ঠান was chaired by the club’s current president, Md. Abdur Rahim Chowdhury, while Muhammad Altamish Nabil served as the chair of the award segment. The program concluded with a group photo session featuring the awardees and distinguished guests.

As one of the country’s leading Rotary clubs, the Rotary Club of Dhaka North West has been playing a significant role in humanitarian service, youth development, and various social initiatives over the past five decades.
