Bangladesh’s cricketers have little time to rest amid a packed international calendar, with preparations for another major contest beginning as soon as one series ends.
The team is currently engaged in a white-ball series against New Zealand, which is set to conclude on May 2. However, there will be no break for the players after that, as Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in a two-match Test series. The Pakistan team is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on May 3 for the series.
The first Test will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The second Test will start on May 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Both matches are part of the 2025–2027 ICC World Test Championship cycle.
Pakistan last toured Bangladesh in March, where they were defeated 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.
