Bangladesh-West Indies T20 Trophy Unveiled at Historic CRB in Chattogram

The T20 series trophy between Bangladesh and the West Indies was unveiled at the historic Central Railway Building (CRB) premises in Chattogram. On Sunday afternoon, Bangladesh captain Litton Kumer Das and West Indies skipper Shai Hope jointly revealed the trophy.

The ceremony at the iconic CRB was part of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) “Cricket Tourism” initiative, organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh Tourism Board. The initiative aims to showcase Bangladesh’s culture and heritage to the international community through the global reach of cricket.

The BCB expressed gratitude to the Bangladesh Railway, Ministry of Railways, and Bangladesh Tourism Board for their support in hosting the event at this historic site.

The CRB in Chattogram is not just a historical landmark but also a peaceful retreat for the city’s residents. Built in 1899, it once served as the administrative headquarters of the Assam-Bengal Railway. The British-era structure still stands as a proud witness to the city’s rich history. Surrounded by lush hills, trees, and a tranquil atmosphere, it remains an integral part of Chattogram’s urban and cultural life.

In recent years, CRB has become a cultural hub for the people of Chattogram, hosting events such as the Boishakhi Mela, Boshonto Utsab, and the traditional Sahabuddin Boli Khela.

Now, this historic venue has witnessed yet another milestone—**a symbolic union of cricket and culture in Bangladesh’s sporting history.
