Mustafizur Rahman Included in Wisdens T20 Team of the Year

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has made Bangladesh proud in the fastest format of cricket. Maintaining exceptional form in both international and domestic matches, he has been named in Wisden’s T20 Team of the Year as the only Bangladeshi to make the squad.
Wisden highlighted Mustafizur’s performance in 2025, noting that among bowlers who delivered at least 150 overs, his bowling average of 18.03 was unmatched by any other pacer. Only Jason Holder had a better strike rate. Throughout the year, he consistently contained runs and took regular wickets. Across national and franchise cricket, Mustafizur claimed 59 wickets at an economy rate of 6.78.
Joining Mustafizur in Wisden’s T20 XI are New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy, two pace all-rounders Sam Curran and Jason Holder, and two spinners Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy. The opening partnership features the top-ranked T20 batsmen Abhishek Sharma and Phil Salt, while the middle order includes Dewaal Bravis, Donovan Ferreira, and Tim David.
