Nahid and Emon Secure PSL Deals in Second Round of Draft
After a period of uncertainty and anticipation, two Bangladeshi cricketers finally had reason to celebrate. Fast bowler Nahid Rana and opener Parvez Hossain Emon secured teams in the second round of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft.
The PSL player draft for the upcoming season began on Wednesday (February 11) at 12:30 pm Bangladesh time. A total of 903 cricketers from around the world registered for the draft, including 53 players from Bangladesh.
Although both Nahid and Emon went unsold in the first round, their fortunes changed in the second phase. Peshawar Zalmi signed Nahid Rana at his base price of 6 million Pakistani rupees. Lahore Qalandars picked up Parvez Hossain Emon for the same base price.
However, it was not a successful day for all Bangladeshi players. Taskin Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan remained unsold even after the second round.
As a result, Bangladesh will be represented in this year’s PSL by Rishad, Nahid Rana, and Parvez Hossain Emon.
