Nahid Rana Seeks NOC to Play in PSL 2025
Nahid Rana has applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the 2025 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). While three Bangladeshi cricketers have secured teams in this year’s PSL, so far, Nahid Rana is the only one who has officially requested an NOC from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The young pacer has received his first-ever call-up to an overseas franchise league. However, his participation for Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, remains uncertain due to Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Zimbabwe at the same time.
Despite the uncertainty, Nahid Rana submitted his application to the BCB today. The PSL 2025 season is set to begin on April 11. If he receives the NOC, Rana will board a flight to Pakistan right after Eid.
In the PSL 2025 draft, three Bangladeshi players were picked—Nahid Rana by Peshawar Zalmi, Litton Das by Karachi Kings, and Rishad Hossain by Lahore Qalandars. However, if the BCB denies them the NOC due to national team commitments or health concerns, they could miss out on a significant opportunity.
