Shakib Al Hasan Likely to Miss ODI Series Against Afghanistan
Shakib Al Hasan may miss the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan, which is set to begin on November 6 in the United Arab Emirates. This was confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Faruk Ahmed, while attending the Test match in Chattogram.
During a press conference, Faruk Ahmed stated that the all-rounder has been out of practice and may not be ready in time for the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
"Shakib is likely to miss the upcoming series against Afghanistan as he has been away from practice for some time, and it may take him a little while to rejoin the team," he said. "Considering everything, it seems he will miss the Afghanistan tour."
The first ODI will take place in Sharjah on November 6, followed by two more matches on November 9 and 11. The absence of Shakib would be a significant blow to the Bangladesh team as they prepare for this important series.
