Shakib Al Hasan to Return to National Team After T10 League
When will Shakib Al Hasan return to the national team jersey? Finally, the much-anticipated question has been answered. The 37-year-old cricketer himself spoke about his return to Bangladesh's national team, assuring fans that he will be back in the red and green jersey soon.
The Abu Dhabi T10 League, which begins this Thursday, features Shakib as a representative of the Bangla Tigers. On Wednesday, a press conference was organized with the captains of the 10 teams. During this, a reporter asked Shakib, "When can we expect to see you back in the national team jersey?"
Shakib responded, "After this tournament." This statement suggests that Shakib will likely return to play in the ODI series against the West Indies. After completing his participation in the T10 League, he is expected to join the team and play in the series starting December 8.
It is worth noting that Shakib had previously planned to retire after playing the Test series against South Africa at home, but due to political reasons, that was not possible. Since then, there has been uncertainty surrounding his career. His absence from the Afghanistan series further fueled speculation. However, with Shakib’s recent statement, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief, as he is expected to return to the national team soon.
