Shakib May Not Return to Dhaka!

Shakib Al Hasan’s last Test match may have been the one against India in Kanpur. Even though he was included in the Bangladesh squad for the first Test against South Africa in Mirpur, his return to the country seems uncertain. The long-standing world’s best all-rounder’s dream of bidding farewell to Test cricket on home soil remains unfulfilled.

Shakib was scheduled to return to Bangladesh tonight (Thursday) at 11:10 PM. The star all-rounder was supposed to board a flight from the United States to Dhaka via Dubai.

However, due to a change in circumstances, his return has been delayed. From Dubai, Shakib confirmed to his close associates in Bangladesh that his homecoming is not possible at the moment. The decision is primarily due to security concerns.

Unless there is a dramatic twist regarding Shakib’s return, he may have to fly back to the United States from Dubai.
