Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Announces First Month's Salary for Flood Relief
Interim Government’s Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan has taken several significant steps since assuming office. Among these, he has now announced a commendable initiative to support flood-affected individuals.
The ongoing severe floods have impacted 10 districts across the country, with the latest reports indicating that 3.6 million people have been affected. The heavy rainfall and severe flooding in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions came with no prior warning. In a gesture of solidarity, Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan announced on his personal Facebook profile:
"As an advisor, I will donate my first month’s salary to the Chief Advisor’s Relief Fund. Everyone should come forward to help mitigate the crisis."
Interim Government Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has directed all members of the advisory council to support the flood-affected people. He is also continuously monitoring the flood situation.
