BCB Holds Media Dialogue on BPL’s Future Development and Global Impact
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today hosted a special dialogue session with members of the country’s print, electronic, digital, and online media to discuss the future development and global positioning of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The open discussion was attended by BPL Chairman Mahbubul Anam, BCB General Secretary Nazmul Abedin, Governing Council member Iftekhar Rahman, and various BPL officials.
Journalists shared their views and experiences on how the BPL’s structure, presentation, branding, and marketing strategies could be modernised and made more internationally competitive.
Key topics included refining the tournament schedule, improving player standards and infrastructure, boosting digital presence, and adopting international-quality media access and branding strategies.
The discussion also focused on understanding audience preferences, technology-driven promotion, and developing a realistic, forward-looking vision for the tournament’s future.
Through this initiative, the BCB made clear that it views the media as an important partner in building a more professional, fan-centric BPL and is committed to working closely with media stakeholders to achieve that goal.
