Dubai Capitals defeated on a day of failure for Shakib
In the Global Super League, it was a disappointing outing for Shakib Al Hasan as Dubai Capitals’ winning streak came to an end. With the bat, he managed only 7 runs off 10 deliveries before getting out cheaply. He was equally ineffective with the ball, conceding 34 runs in his 4 wicketless overs.
Batting first, Dubai Capitals could only post 141 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing the modest target, Hobart Hurricanes batted with control and ease, reaching the target with 3 overs to spare and 7 wickets in hand.
The loss has also increased the pressure on Dubai Capitals in the points table.
