Bangladesh announce unchanged squad for third T20I
Despite losing the series, Bangladesh are determined to finish on a high as they prepare for the third and final T20I against West Indies in Chattogram. The Tigers suffered a 14-run defeat in the second match at the Birshreshtha Matiur Rahman Stadium, which confirmed a series win for the visitors, following their 16-run victory in the opening game. Now, Litton Das and his men will be aiming to avoid a whitewash and restore some pride in the final encounter.
Before the series began, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had announced a squad for the first two matches. On Tuesday, the board confirmed the team for the third T20I, opting to retain the same squad without any changes — showing faith in the players despite their underwhelming performances.
That means out-of-form batters Zakir Ali and Shamim Hossain have both been given another opportunity, as the team management continues to back them for the final match.
Bangladesh T20I squad:
Litton Das (captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Zakir Ali, Shamim Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam.
