BCB Hopeful About Litton Das as Hip Joint Injury Not Serious
Although ruled out of the ongoing tri-nation series, left-handed batter and wicketkeeper Litton Das is no longer feared to have suffered a major injury. Medical assessments have indicated that his hip joint injury has not developed into a serious problem. A clearer timeline for his full recovery will be available after a few days of close monitoring.
According to sources within the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations and medical departments, as reported by Cricbuzz, there has been a positive development regarding Litton’s condition. The board hopes the experienced cricketer will be fit enough to return to action before the upcoming Test series against the West Indies.
However, officials are not yet in a position to make any definitive statement about his return.
Board doctors conducted Litton’s initial physical assessment at the BCB office last Monday. During the examination, the star cricketer was also prescribed a specific rehabilitation programme and a set of exercises.
A representative of the medical board confirmed that the initial physical assessment found no signs of any serious damage, although there was evidence of a minor strain in the tissue.
As part of the ongoing treatment process, Litton was also scheduled to receive the necessary therapy on Tuesday. The medical team will closely monitor his physical response over the next 48 hours before deciding on the next course of action.
Although the board is optimistic about having the wicketkeeper available for the upcoming Test series, the physiotherapists are unwilling to rush a decision. An official announcement regarding his return to the national team will be made once his full recovery is ensured.
