Remark Joins as Sponsor of Indomitable Bangladesh T20 Tournament

A new addition to Bangladesh’s sporting calendar, the Indomitable Bangladesh T20 Cricket Tournament, is set to get underway on Wednesday (February 5). The competition will feature three teams comprising some of the country’s top cricketers and promises an exciting display of power-hitting. The tournament is being sponsored by Remark HB Limited, one of Bangladesh’s leading manufacturers of cosmetics, skincare and home care products.

Remark HB Limited oversees several well-known local and international brands, including Lily, Orix, Neor, Tylux, Sunbit and Ciodil, among others. As a sports-friendly organisation, Remark has long been associated with sports, youth engagement and positive social initiatives. Continuing that tradition, the company has now come on board as the sponsor of the Indomitable Bangladesh Tournament.

The Indomitable Bangladesh T20 Cup will run from February 5 to February 9. Three teams will take part in the competition: Dhumketu XI, led by Liton Das; Durbaar XI, captained by Najmul Hossain Shanto; and Durdanto XI, under the leadership of Akbar Ali. Ahead of the tournament, the teams have already begun their preparations.

In the league stage, each team will play three matches. The top two teams at the end of the league phase will advance to the final. The champion team will receive a prize money of BDT 10 million. Based on team-wise distribution, an individual cricketer’s share is expected to be around BDT 500,000 on average, while the total earnings, including other allowances, could reach at least BDT 700,000.

According to the schedule, the opening match on February 5 will see Dhumketu XI take on Akbar Ali’s Durdanto XI. On February 6, Dhumketu XI will face Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Durbaar XI. The final league match between Durbaar XI and Durdanto XI will be played on February 7. The tournament final is scheduled for February 9. All matches will begin at 6:00 pm.

Meanwhile, school and college students will be able to enjoy all matches free of charge from the stands. This special facility will be available at the Club House Gallery of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has stated that students must carry their respective school or college uniforms or identity cards to avail of the free entry.
