Rabiyul Gets Maiden Call-Up, Hridoy Returns for Zimbabwe Test
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the lone Test against Zimbabwe, scheduled to begin on June 28 at the Harare Sports Club. The selectors have made several changes to the squad for the upcoming match.
The biggest surprise in the squad is pace-bowling all-rounder Rabiyul Haque, who has earned his maiden call-up to the national Test team. Middle-order batter Towhid Hridoy has also returned to the Test setup after nearly two years away from red-ball cricket.
Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed have been rested. Their absence has opened the door for the return of Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed to the squad.
Bangladesh Test Squad:
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque Sourav, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Kumar Das, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Khaled Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Towhid Hridoy, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Amit Hasan and Rabiyul Haque.
