Najmul Islam Relieved of Duties as Chairman of BCB Finance Committee

Najmul Islam has been relieved of his responsibilities as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The decision was announced through an official press release issued by the BCB on Thursday (15 January).
According to the BCB, the decision was taken by the Board President after reviewing the recent developments and considering the overall interests of the organisation. The action has been carried out under the authority vested in the BCB President as per Article 31 of the BCB Constitution.
The press release further stated that the decision aims to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Board’s operations. Until further notice, the BCB President will serve as the Acting Chairman of the Finance Committee.
The BCB reiterated that the interests of the cricketers remain its highest priority and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the honour and dignity of all players in the country.
In light of the current challenging period for Bangladesh cricket, the Board urged all cricketers to demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and dedication for the development of the game. The BCB also expressed its expectation that players will continue to ensure their regular participation in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
