Indian Duo Surge to Career-Best Positions in ICC Rankings After Oval Heroics
Following their stellar performances in the final Test against England at The Oval, Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have reached their career-best positions in the latest ICC Test Rankings.
Siraj, who was named Player of the Match, climbed 12 spots to reach 15th place with a career-high 674 rating points. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna’s impressive 8-wicket haul in the match propelled him 25 places up to 59th, with 368 rating points.
England's young pacers also made significant gains. Both Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue, who also took 8 wickets each in the Oval Test, achieved their personal bests. Atkinson broke into the Top 10 Test Bowlers for the first time, while Tongue jumped 14 places to move up to 46th.
On the batting front, India's Yashasvi Jaiswal made headlines after scoring a century at The Oval. He moved up three spots to break into the Top 5 of the Test batting rankings for the first time, now sitting at 5th with 792 rating points. England’s Joe Root and Harry Brook maintained their positions at 1st and 2nd, respectively.
Elsewhere, performances in the Zimbabwe vs New Zealand series also shook up the rankings. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell jumped four places to enter the Top 10 Test Batters, while pacer Matt Henry climbed three spots to reach 4th position with a career-best 817 rating points.

In the T20I format, notable shifts also occurred:
Tim David of Australia climbed two spots to 16th after a blazing century against West Indies.
Pakistan’s Saim Ayub, in excellent form during the Florida series, jumped 25 places to reach 37th among T20I batters.
Jason Holder, who was the highest wicket-taker for West Indies in the series, surged 23 spots to become joint 32nd alongside South Africa's Keshav Maharaj in the T20I bowling rankings.
The latest rankings reflect the continued rise of emerging talents and the impactful performances across both Test and T20I formats.
