Rajitha will miss the last Test against Bangladesh
Sri Lanka's key pacer Kasun Rajitha will miss the second and final Test match against Bangladesh due to an injury sustained during the Chattogram Test. Rajitha, who is part of Sri Lanka's pace attack, played a crucial role in the Sylhet Test. The Sri Lankan team will have to endure his absence due to this injury.
Rajitha is being sent back to Sri Lanka for complete rest and rehabilitation. He will not be able to play in the Chattogram Test due to the injury on his back. In the first match of the series in Sylhet, Rajitha challenged the Bangladeshi batters by taking 3 wickets in the first innings and 5 in the second.
In place of Rajitha, 26-year-old right-arm pacer Asitha Fernando has been included in the Sri Lankan squad. Asitha was expected to play in the first match, but he also suffered an injury. It was thought that he might miss the entire series, but his quick return presents an opportunity for him to replace Rajitha.
Asitha was part of the squad against Afghanistan in the recent Test series. He has taken 41 wickets in a total of 13 Test matches.
The final match of the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka series will be held in Chattogram starting from March 30th.
