Ravi Bopara named Karachi Kings’ head coach for PSL 10
Karachi Kings have announced their new head coach ahead of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team has appointed Ravi Bopara as the head coach. Additionally, Mohammad Mashoor has been assigned the role of high-performance coach. Mashoor has been closely associated with the franchise for a long time.
Ravi Bopara is a well-known name for Karachi Kings. He played for the team from 2016 to 2019, including serving as the captain in 2016. Later, he joined the coaching staff, initially as the batting coach in 2023, and then as an assistant coach in 2024. Now, he will take up the responsibility as the head coach.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Mashoor, who previously worked as Karachi Kings' fielding coach and assistant coach, has now been appointed as the high-performance coach. This expanded role highlights his skills and the trust the team has in him.
The Karachi Kings management is excited to work with the new head coach, Ravi Bopara, and has expressed their gratitude towards former head coach Phil Simmons, wishing him all the best for his future endeavors.
The 10th edition of the PSL will begin on April 11, with the opening match featuring the defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.
