In the midst of the ongoing IPL, teams have made changes to their squads. Kolkata Knight Riders have added Afghanistan's Allah Gajjanfar in place of the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, while Rajasthan Royals have signed Keshav Maharaj in place of the renowned Krishna.
Indian Premier League authorities have announced two changes in the Kolkata and Rajasthan franchises. Allah Gajjanfar has been included in the squad of Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have brought in Keshav Maharaj in place of Krishna.
Allah Gajjanfar has represented Afghanistan in two One Day Internationals. He has taken 5 and 4 wickets in T20Is and List-A matches respectively. He has joined the Knight Riders franchise for a base price of 20 lakhs INR.
Krishna has recently undergone left proximal quadriceps tendon surgery and is currently in the process of recovery. Keshav Maharaj, his replacement, is an experienced South African cricketer. He has played 27 T20Is, 44 ODIs, and 50 Tests, claiming a total of 237 international wickets.
Additionally, he has played 159 T20 matches and taken 130 wickets outside of international cricket. Rajasthan has included him in the squad for a base price of 50 lakhs INR.
