BCB to Award BDT 2 Million to SAFF Champion Bangladesh Women’s Football Team
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to award BDT 2 million to the Bangladesh Women’s Football Team in recognition of their outstanding achievement in defending the SAFF Championship title in 2024. The team secured the title by defeating host Nepal 2-1 in a thrilling final held in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
BCB President Faruque Ahmed congratulated the players and the entire team management, saying, “We are immensely proud of our women’s football team for their remarkable performance. The BCB joins the nation’s sporting community in celebrating this achievement.
“This victory serves as a source of inspiration and hope for all athletes in Bangladesh. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Women’s Football Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation.
“The BCB is committed to promoting women’s participation in sports, and this historic win will help boost interest and support for women’s sports at the national level.”
