BPL Returns to Dhaka, Ticket Sales Begin Monday
After the Sylhet phase concludes, the capital Dhaka is set to become the heartbeat of cricket once again. Amid crowd cheers, dazzling lights and the thrill of T20 action, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is returning to Dhaka for its next phase. The Dhaka leg of the tournament will begin on January 15 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The final match of the Sylhet phase will be played tomorrow (Monday). From the same day, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will start selling tickets for the Dhaka phase. Fans can purchase tickets online through the website www.gobcbticket.com.bd.
According to the BCB, the minimum ticket price has been set at 200 taka, allowing spectators to enjoy two matches in a single day. Meanwhile, tickets for premium seating areas at the stadium have been priced as high as 2,000 taka.
A total of 11 different ticket categories have been set for watching matches at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. Tickets for both the lower and upper tiers of the Grand Stand are priced at 2,000 taka each. The International Gallery North (Media Block) and the International Lounge South are priced at 1,000 taka each, while the International Gallery South (Corporate Block) costs 800 taka.
In addition, tickets for the Club House South (Shaheed Mushtaq Stand) and Club House North (Shaheed Jewel Stand) have been fixed at 500 taka. Tickets for the Shaheed Abu Sayeed Stand and the Northern Gallery are priced at 300 taka. The most affordable option, at 200 taka, is available in the Eastern Gallery. As part of an eco-friendly initiative, tickets for the Club House South–Shaheed Mushtaq Stand ‘Zero Waste Zone’ have been priced at 600 taka.
