New Zealand's Colin Munro bid farewell to international cricket, announcing his retirement after playing 123 international matches.
Renowned for his aggressive batting, Munro last played a T20I against India in 2020. He has scored over 3000 runs and taken 7 wickets in his international career for New Zealand, playing 65 T20Is, 57 ODIs, and 1 Test match.
In international T20 cricket, Munro has scored the sixth-highest runs for New Zealand, totaling 1724 runs with an average of 31 and a strike rate of 156.4. He holds the record for the third-highest century for New Zealand in this format.
Munro has been part of New Zealand's ICC Under-19 World Cup squad in 2006. He made his debut in all formats during the South Africa tour in the 2012-13 season.
He has been a reliable name for the Kiwis in white-ball cricket, representing them in the T20 World Cups of 2014, 2016, and the Cricket World Cup in 2019.
