David Hemp Returns to Bangladesh as Head of High Performance
After a long break, coach David Hemp is set to rejoin Bangladesh cricket. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed him on a new one-year contract. This time, he will serve as the Head of High Performance (HP).
Hemp previously worked with the country’s High Performance unit and later took charge of the women’s national team. He is currently based in Australia. A BCB official confirmed that Hemp will continue on his previous salary under the new contract and will take on responsibilities as required.
Recently, Hemp guided the women’s team in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers held in Thailand. The players have praised his training methods and coaching approach. As a result, the board decided to extend his contract for another year.
The BCB hopes that this move will strengthen both the High Performance program and women’s cricket, and play an important role in building stronger teams for the future.
