England's star batter Harry Brook has been appointed as the captain of the Northern Superchargers. This will be his first senior team captaincy role since the U-19 World Cup.
For the 2024 edition of The Hundred, Northern Superchargers have named Harry Brook as their captain. This will be Brook’s first taste of captaincy since his days with England's U-19 team. He will be taking over from Wayne Parnell.
Brook previously gained leadership experience during the 2018 U-19 World Cup campaign in New Zealand. Now, he will step onto the field for the toss in The Hundred. Brook expressed his excitement,
"Captaining Northern Superchargers is an honor, and I am really excited about it. Playing at Headingley and representing the area has always been special. Leading the team in The Hundred this year will be extra special for me."
The Superchargers squad includes England's Test captain Ben Stokes, West Indies' Nicholas Pooran, and Brook's World Cup teammates Adil Rashid and Reece Topley.
