Masakadza is out with a head injury
On the evening of today at 6 PM, Bangladesh is set to battle Zimbabwe in the second T20 of the series. Bangladesh's captain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, won the toss for the second consecutive time and decided to bowl first. It's a significant match for Zimbabwe as Jonathan Campbell makes his international debut. However, there is concerning news from the Zimbabwe camp, as Wellington Masakadza is not included in the playing eleven due to an injury.
In the first T20 match, Masakadza suffered a head injury which led to his exclusion from today's match lineup. During the toss, Zimbabwe's captain Sikandar Raza updated on Masakadza's condition, stating, "We have made three changes in the playing eleven. The pitch looks good. Wellington is doing fine, responding well. Chittagong is a high-scoring ground. We are aiming for a higher score on the board."
In the previous match, when Zimbabwe was in dire straits at 41 runs for 7 wickets, Wellington Masakadza and Clive Madande put up a crucial partnership of 75 runs off 65 balls for the eighth wicket, giving Zimbabwe a competitive total.
Although Masakadza scored 34 runs with the bat, he did not bowl a single delivery in the innings due to the head injury sustained in the last match. While the Bangladesh team's lineup remains unchanged, Zimbabwe has made three alterations. Ryan Burl, Sean Williams, and Wellington Masakadza were replaced by Anslie Lovhu, Jonathan Campbell, and Tadiwanashe Marumani.
