Noakhali Express are unable to break free from their losing streak in the Bangladesh Premier League. This time, they went down to Rajshahi Warriors by 4 wickets. With this loss, Noakhali have now suffered six consecutive defeats, further cementing their position at the bottom of the points table.

In the match held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Noakhali Express batted first and posted a total of 151 runs. Rajshahi chased down the target with one over to spare. After losing the toss, Noakhali relied heavily on Soumya Sarkar, who was the standout performer with the bat. Displaying confident stroke play from the start, Soumya scored 59 runs off 43 balls, including six fours and three sixes.

He was well supported by Mohammad Nabi, who contributed 35 runs off 26 deliveries. Shahadat Hossain Dipu gave the innings an early boost with 30 runs, but the middle order failed to build any substantial partnerships. A late cameo of 10 runs by Mahidul Islam Ankon helped Noakhali reach the 150-run mark. They eventually finished on 151 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Rajshahi Warriors, Ripon Mondol was the most successful bowler, picking up two wickets. Binura Fernando and Hasan Murad also chipped in with one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 152, Rajshahi’s victory was anchored by Muhammad Waseem, who took control of the chase with an aggressive knock of 60 off 35 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes. Tanzid Hasan scored 21 at the top, while captain Najmul Hossain Shanto departed early. Mushfiqur Rahim then steadied the innings with 19 runs off 22 balls.

Despite a strong bowling performance from Mehedi Hasan Rana, who claimed 3 wickets for 25 runs in his four overs, Noakhali could not defend their total. Rajshahi Warriors eventually reached 152 for 6 in 19 overs to seal a 4-wicket victory.
