PCB Chairman Takes Landmark Step Ahead of India-Pakistan Clash in Champions Trophy

Ahead of the high-voltage India-Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy at Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made a groundbreaking move. He announced the release of 22 Indian fishermen by Pakistan.

On Saturday, these Indian fishermen were released from the Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan. According to sources, there are currently 180 Indian fishermen held in Pakistani jails, even though they have already completed their sentences. The Indian government has repeatedly called for their swift release.

In a video, Mohsin Naqvi was heard saying, "On our part, we have released 22 Indian fishermen today." This step is seen as a positive signal toward improving India-Pakistan relations.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani team faces a tough challenge in the Champions Trophy. After losing their opening match to New Zealand by 60 runs, Mohammad Rizwan's team is at the bottom of the Group-A points table.
