Shakib Shines with the Bat, but Seifert Steals the Show in CPL Thriller

Yet even his explosive knock could not prevent defeat, as St. Lucia Kings’ opener Tim Seifert powered his side to a commanding win.

Playing for the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Shakib came in early when his team was in trouble at 51 for 2. Partnering with opener Amir Jango, he rebuilt the innings with a 95-run stand. Shakib reached his half-century in just 20 balls, smashing David Wiese for 22 runs in a single over (3 fours and 2 sixes).

He eventually fell after a breathtaking 61 off 26 balls, laced with 5 fours and 5 sixes.
