Dinesh Chandimal withdrawn from 2nd Test
Sri Lankan batter Dinesh Chandimal has withdrawn from participating in the second Test match against Bangladesh due to a family medical emergency. He is returning to his home country from Chittagong.
Chandimal is promptly heading back to his own country. Sri Lanka Cricket has stated in a press release that his teammates and coaching staff fully support him and request the public to respect his and his family's privacy.
The fourth day of the ongoing second Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is taking place in Chittagong today. Sri Lanka, with a significant lead, is batting in their second innings. Chandimal, who scored 59 runs in the first innings, was dismissed for just 9 runs in the second innings. However, he had a poor performance in the Sylhet Test, scoring only 9 and 0 runs in the two innings respectively.
