The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has introduced a significant change to the upcoming cricket schedule in an effort to reduce electricity consumption. The Bangladesh–New Zealand series will now be entirely in daylight, with all day-night fixtures removed.

 

According to the revised schedule released by the BCB, none of the will rely on floodlights. The board stated that the decision was taken to minimize power usage and ensure more efficient energy management.

 

All three ODI matches will begin at 11:00 AM. This timing allows the games to conclude around without the need for prolonged use of artificial lighting.

 

A similar approach has been applied to the T20I series as well. Each  will start at 2:00 PM, ensuring that the full 40-over contests can be completed within daylight hours.

 

Following the ODI leg, the teams will face off in a three-match T20I series. The first two matches are scheduled to take place in Chattogram on April 27 and 29, while the final match will be held on May 2 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

 

ODI Series Schedule:

April 17 — Mirpur — 11:00 AM

April 20 — Mirpur — 11:00 AM

April 23 — Chattogram — 11:00 AM

 

T20I Series Schedule:

April 27 — Chattogram — 2:00 PM

April 29 — Chattogram — 2:00 PM

May 2 — Mirpur — 2:00 PM
