Bangladesh Pacers Shine in ICC Rankings Surge

Bangladesh’s pace bowlers have dominated the latest ICC rankings update, bringing significant gains for the team.

In the most recent ICC ODI rankings update, Bangladesh have emerged as one of the biggest beneficiaries, with their pacers playing a key role in this success.

Bangladesh’s 2-1 series win over New Zealand at home was largely driven by their fast-bowling attack. Across the three ম্যাচ series, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Nahid Rana combined to take 18 wickets, a performance that has been clearly reflected in the rankings.

Shoriful has climbed 11 spots to reach 28th. Mustafizur has moved up 14 places and is now ranked 41st. Player of the series Nahid Rana jumped 16 spots to 48th, signaling the steady rise of Bangladesh’s pace attack ahead of the World Cup.

There have also been positive developments in the batting rankings. Najmul Hossain Shanto has moved up 11 places to 32nd following consistent performances, while Liton Das has climbed 15 spots to reach 65th.

In the all-rounders’ rankings, Mehidy Hasan Miraz has also made progress. His unbeaten 22 runs and two wickets in the series-deciding ম্যাচ helped him move up one spot to joint third.

There is good news in the T20I rankings as well. Towhid Hridoy, who scored a half-century in the first ম্যাচ of the series, has moved up 9 places to 39th, while Parvez Hossain Emon has improved by 3 spots to joint 40th.

Additionally, in the T20I bowlers’ rankings, Mahedi Hasan has climbed 3 places to joint 18th, reflecting his recent performances.
