During the accreditation process for this tournament, the BCB never communicated any rules or restrictions regarding photography. Even if there had been any objections, a formal ‘protest letter’ could have been submitted. However, the language and manner in which Daily Sun’s photojournalist Tanvin Tamim was issued a ‘warning’ is highly objectionable and undoubtedly undermines the path of independent journalism.
Sports journalists had requested the BCB to formally apologize for the language and procedure of the warning letter and had set a specific timeframe for this. Receiving no response from the BCB, the sports journalists are boycotting the entire final of the Adommo Bangladesh T20 Cup.
