After the match, captain Suryakumar Yadav highlighted the team’s mindset. He said, “When we are in situations like this, we need to be braver in our decision-making and there is no option other than choosing a positive approach.”

He also spoke about keeping the team relaxed ahead of the high-pressure encounter. In his words, “When we reach Kolkata, we will definitely sit down, talk and think about the match. But tomorrow is a day off — we will travel and relax.”

Sunday’s contest is therefore more than just another group match; it is a knockout before the knockout stage. The equation is simple for both teams: the winner advances to the semi-finals, while the loser’s campaign ends in the Super Eight.

From the disappointment against South Africa to a confident resurgence against Zimbabwe, India have shown they can bounce back. Now the only question is whether they can maintain that aggressive, fearless brand of cricket against the Caribbean side.
