The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the list of match officials ahead of the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. However, no Bangladeshi umpire or match referee has been included in the list.
Bangladeshi umpires Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat and Gazi Sohel officiated during the group stage and Super Eight phase. However, neither of them has been assigned any responsibility for the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final on March 4 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, South Africa will face New Zealand. Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf will serve as the on-field umpires. Nitin Menon will be the third umpire, Rod Tucker the fourth umpire, and Javagal Srinath will act as the match referee.
In the second semi-final, scheduled for March 5 in Mumbai, Chris Gaffaney and Allahuddien Paleker will officiate as the on-field umpires. Adrian Holdstock will serve as the third umpire, Paul Reiffel as the fourth umpire, and Andy Pycroft will be the match referee.
