The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the venues and schedules for two major upcoming women’s cricket tournaments — the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The global events will be held just nine months apart in India and England, respectively.

ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 (India & Sri Lanka)

The 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup will be played from 30 September to 2 November with eight teams competing in a round-robin format across 28 league matches. Five venues have been finalized:

  • M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru)

  • ACA Stadium (Guwahati)

  • Holkar Stadium (Indore)

  • ACA–VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam)

  • R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka)

India will host the tournament for the first time in 12 years, with the opening match in Bengaluru featuring the host nation.

The knockout stage venues will depend on Pakistan's qualification. If Pakistan qualifies for the semifinals, the first semifinal (29 October) and final (2 November) will be held in Colombo. Otherwise, Guwahati and Bengaluru will host the semifinal and final, respectively.

In a statement, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said:

“Women’s cricket is now at the heart of our priorities. These two global events will further accelerate the momentum we’ve built.”

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 (England & Wales)

The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will take place in England and Wales from 12 June to 5 July. The tournament will feature 12 teams, with host England playing the opening match at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The tournament will be played across seven venues, including:

  • Edgbaston (Birmingham)

  • Old Trafford (Manchester)

  • Headingley (Leeds)

  • The Hampshire Bowl (Southampton)

  • Bristol County Ground

  • The Oval (London) – Hosts semifinals on 30 June and 2 July

  • Lord’s Cricket Ground (London) – Hosts the final on 5 July

Ticket pre-sale will begin from 12 June. So far, eight teams have qualified, with the remaining four to be decided through the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier to be held next year.
