Lahore Qalandars are PSL 2025 Champions!
Lahore Qalandars have emerged as the champions of the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL). Although Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was not part of the playing XI in the final, Rishad Hossain made a notable contribution with the ball. Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz witnessed the championship win without playing a single match.
In the final against Quetta Gladiators, Rishad was the only Bangladeshi player included in the starting lineup. The leg-spinner bowled 4 overs, conceding 42 runs and taking 1 wicket, playing a key role in restricting Quetta to 201/9 in their 20 overs.
Chasing 202, Lahore Qalandars clinched the title with 1 ball to spare and 6 wickets in hand. Zimbabwean star Sikandar Raza delivered a crucial late-innings cameo, smashing 22 runs off just 7 balls, while Kusal Perera anchored the chase with a brilliant unbeaten 62 off 31 balls.
This victory marks another milestone for Lahore Qalandars and reflects the growing influence of Bangladeshi cricketers in major global leagues — both on and off the field.
