West Indies to Tour Bangladesh, Series Schedule Announced
The West Indies cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in October, playing a series of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and an equal number of T20s. The West Indies Cricket Board officially announced the schedule for the upcoming series on Tuesday (16 September).
The ODI series will be held at the Home of Cricket, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The series will begin with the first ODI on 18 October, followed by the second and third matches on 20 and 23 October at the same venue.
After the ODI series, both teams will move to Chattogram for the T20 series. The three-match T20 series will take place at the Bir Shreshtho Flight Lt. Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (formerly Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium). The first match will be played on 27 October, followed by the second on 30 October, and the final match on 1 November.
The series is considered crucial for both sides, as it could serve as their final preparation ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup. The mega tournament in this short format will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February, where reigning champions India will aim to defend their title.
