Shakib Strikes Early as Lahore Qalandars Restrict Karachi Kings to 190 in PSL Eliminator
Lahore Qalandars kept their PSL title hopes alive by putting up a disciplined bowling effort in the Eliminator match against Karachi Kings. In a must-win encounter, they included only one of the three available Bangladeshi all-rounders—Shakib Al Hasan—in the playing XI. The veteran made an immediate impact by removing James Vince in his very first over.
Shakib opened the bowling and struck gold in the final delivery of the over, dismissing Vince for just 4. His opening over read: dot ball, a few singles, and then a crucial breakthrough. Interestingly, despite the early success, Shakib wasn’t called upon to bowl again.
